Meet Aerographer’s Mate 3rd Class Maecy Cox, from San Antonio, Texas!

Assigned to Command Religious Ministries Department, AG3 Cox went above and beyond in scheduling counselings, managing the chaplains schedules, and completed numerous in-briefings for new sailors.

She spearheaded the qualification packages for the Navy’s newest suicide-prevention initiative, the Green Ribbon Program, leading to 67 Sailors getting qualified and improving our first responding capabilities.

Her dedication to her department demonstrates her desire to put Sailors first and lead Stennis one step closer in bringing the ship back to life.

WINNERS!

Stennis wins the trophy for the 2nd year in a row! Our Sailors assigned to the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) soccer team defeated USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in the championship game of the all-carrier soccer tournament, and later won the all-region championship against Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, bringing home the trophy and the pride that comes with it once again.⚓️⚽️

Whether it’s on the pitch or the flight deck, Stennis Sailors maintain excellence and strive for nothing but the best, guaranteeing war fighting capability and upholding the USS John C. Stennis Legacy.

Meet Culinary Specialist Seaman Sam Sherman, from Spanish Town, Jamaica!

As a key member of Supply Department Deck team, CSSN Sherman expertly completed over 1,250 sq ft. of decking installation.

His attention to detail, professional commitment, strong work ethic, and consistent follow-through ensured each deck was completed correctly and in a timely manner.

CSSN Sherman's efforts significantly enhanced the appearance, safety, and functionality of multiple supply spaces throughout USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74).

CSSN Sherman maintains over 20 spaces within the Hotel Services Division, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and inspection readiness at all times.

He is a highly motivated and dependable Sailor; he displays strong initiative and professionalism in all assigned tasks. His superior performance and leadership potential have eamed him selection for frocking to Petty Officer Third Class, reflecting his continued growth and dedication to the Navy's mission as well.

🌟 Warfighter of the Week 🌟 ⚓️

Meet Airman Abigail Brown, from Medical Lake, Washington!

As Divisional Training Petty Officer, she coordinated daily training and administrative operations for 56 Sailors. She meticulously maintained 56 training jackets and assisted in the upkeep of her Divisional Officer records. Showcasing flawless attention to detail, she prepared and processed 79 items of correspondence with zero discrepancies.

Equally impressive in her collateral duties, she demonstrated an unparalleled work ethic and dedication as a divisional maintenance person.

Her commitment to mission accomplishment directly resulted in the daily upkeep of 52 divisional spaces, including four crew washrooms and three berthing's for the in-port emergency team complex. These meticulous efforts were instrumental in V-1 division achieving a 100% passing rating on multiple inspections.

Please join us in congratulating Air Traffic Controller Airman Tapscott for his outstanding performance, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to mission success.

ACAN Tapscott has consistently distinguished himself through exemplary workmanship and immense pride in the daily ex*****on of his duties. Serving as a Lead Maintenance Person, he completed more than 24 hours of meticulous maintenance across four divisional spaces, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and technical expertise.

His strong leadership and managerial skills were instrumental in the upkeep and preservation of 27 spaces across two work centers, directly contributing to the success of the ship’s ongoing Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH).

👏 Bravo Zulu, Airman Tapscott! Keep up the outstanding work.

Sailors assigned to USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) Air Department successfully completed a re-reeve maintenance evolution on our flight decks’ arresting cable systems.

One more milestone complete, one step closer to returning Stennis to Sea with a mission-ready crew and ship, guaranteeing our war-fighting ability and lethality.🌊💪
