I’ve driven past this park so many times without realizing it was even there. From the street there wasn’t much to it but as we got closer I could definitely see this being a fun little park to visit. There is a 7-11 across the street for quick access to a bathroom if needed, and snacks of course 😂

🌳 Shade & Comfort:
There is shade near the swings and they could be covered depending what time of day you go. Parts of the playground itself has awnings which provide shade as well 🙌🏼

* Bathrooms: No.
* Parking: Street.
* Trash Cans: Yes.
* Grills: No.

👀 Visibility & Layout:
This park has one picnic table with covering, a small grassy area behind to play ball in WITH shade but is closer to the street than other parks we’ve been too.

Well… things have taken an unexpected turn. 😂

Agent 002 was successfully found this morning at Lineberry Park! His first finder decided not to keep him and instead sent him right back into the field for someone else to discover. 🫡

And now…

HE’S GONE AGAIN. 👀

We checked his new hiding spot, and Agent 002 is nowhere to be found.

So we have a mystery on our hands. 🔎

Did another ParkHopper find him?
Is he about to receive a new assignment somewhere else?
Or has Agent 002 simply gone rogue? 😂🦆

Agent 002 has received his next assignment and he’s bringing something a little special with him. 🦆🫡

Deployment will take place tomorrow morning, but we’ve been authorized to release one piece of intel before lights out…

A couple years back received an update from Playworld and we are here for it. The are a big hit and definitely something you don’t see often. The playground itself isn’t very large, almost minimal BUT there are enough features to keep the kids engaged 🙌🏼

Partially shaded and backed up to a wooded area! Lots of room to run around without having to worry about kids running out into the street.

🎉🌳 WE MISSED OUR OWN BIRTHDAY! 🛝🥳

Apparently, we’ve been a little distracted by ducks lately… 🦆😂

But August 23 officially marked ONE YEAR of VB ParkHopper!

On August 23, 2025, we made our very first post from New Light Park, with a simple idea: get out, explore the parks and playgrounds around Virginia Beach, and share what we found along the way.

A LOT has changed since that first post. 😂

Our posts have changed. Our format has changed. We’ve visited more parks, discovered some hidden gems, found some new favorite playground features, and somehow… there are now little VB ParkHopper ducks roaming around Virginia Beach. 🦆

But the reason we’re doing it hasn’t changed.

We love getting out and exploring these parks, and it makes us incredibly happy to see that so many of you are enjoying the adventure with us. Whether you’ve followed from the beginning or just found our page recently, thank you for following along, sharing our posts, recommending parks, commenting, voting, and helping VB ParkHopper grow into what it is today. 💚

One year down… and we’re nowhere near finished.

There are still plenty of parks to explore, playgrounds to discover, ducks to hide, and a few other ideas we’re working on behind the scenes. 👀

So keep following along, because there’s SO much more to come! 🛝🌳🦆

We went back to Thalia Park to check…

The duck is GONE. 😂

Somebody found the very first VBParkHopper Duck — we just don’t know WHO!

Agent 001 was last seen deployed at Thalia Park earlier today. No check-in. No photo. No communication. His current whereabouts are unknown. 👀
