From pineapples (???) and 5Ks to military ship tours and the "Best Class Ever", CIVIC has never been short on memorable experiences. Looking back across 30 years, some photos capture the big program moments, and others leave us with a few questions.

The Class of 2026 recently gathered for their final program day before officially stepping into their role as CIVIC's newest alumni.

They were welcomed by keynote speaker Charlene Morring (’24), learned about the intersection of volunteers, nonprofits, and the regional business community from Tage Counts, received alumni insight from Garrett Berger (’17), and heard a powerful testimony from Audrey Barrett about her CIVIC Scholars experience.

We are so proud of the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished throughout the past year. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the experience they shared together and the path forward for our region.

This Thursday, we're celebrating 30 years of CIVIC at our annual Founders' Luncheon, and we couldn't be more excited to honor Dawna Ellis ('14) as this year's Founders' Honoree for her incredible impact on both CIVIC and Hampton Roads.

As we celebrate this milestone anniversary year, we look forward to bringing leaders from across our region together for an afternoon of connection, reflection, and meaningful relationships that continue to shape our region.

The Class of 2025 just went from 14th in giving to 1st overall. With less than 48 hours left, the “Best Class Ever” Challenge is wide open.

No lead is safe. No Class is out of it.

The challenge closes this Friday, May 8 at 11:59 PM. The Best Class Ever will be announced at the Founders' Luncheon on May 21.
