We are thrilled to host PaintFest 2026! Please come out and join the fun.
PaintFest is a one-day live painting event inviting artists of all ages and abilities to install temporary tempera artworks on the grounds of Normandy Village in Normal, IL. More than that, PaintFest is THE place to hang out in the September sunshine creating art in a park-like setting along historic Route 66 and building community while learning more about how public art can increase pedestrian safety in our neighborhoods!
This is an all-ages, community-friendly event. Artwork can be of (almost) any subject, in any style. Logos and corporate promotion are not allowed. If your local business or organization wants to participate, get creative with how your art might represent you or your mission! Organizers retain the right to remove or request edits to content that is not appropriate for the general public. Participants must be 13yo or older to register as an individual.
Registration is limited: (12) squares are reserved for practicing artists who will also have the opportunity to vend during the event; (20) squares are open for anyone and everyone. All participants may register as an individual or as a group with family members, friends, and colleagues. If you know of other participants registering and want to request placement near them, please indicate that in the notes section below. Event organizers will attempt to honor those requests, but cannot make any guarantees. Both registered participants must individually note that they want to be placed near each other.
