Tropical Storm (soon to be a hurricane) Simon is churning out in the Pacific, possibly headed our way. Well, we'd rather it be Howie Mandel, but we'll take whatever we can get at this point! Increased odds of above normal precip next Oct. 14-18. "Normal" ain't a lot, but it'd be better than nothing.

NOAA now gives this El Nino an 83% chance of reaching HISTORIC strength during Oct–Dec, and a 100% chance of "Super" or "Very Strong" event Sept-Nov. This increases the odds of "typical" impacts for Oklahoma (i.e., wetter than normal) through early spring of 2027. https://ticker.mesonet.org/
