We want to take a moment to clarify our program guidelines and mission at A Brighter Day Norman. Our program is specifically designed to support pregnant individuals and parenting mothers with children ages 0–36 months, in accordance with the funding guidelines, policies, and regulations we are required to follow as a nonprofit organization.
We understand that needing assistance can already feel stressful, and our goal is always to treat every family with kindness, dignity, and respect. We also understand that not everyone will agree with every policy or eligibility requirement, but these guidelines are not personal decisions, they are program requirements that we must follow consistently for all clients.
Fathers, partners, grandparents, and support persons are absolutely welcome and encouraged to be involved. Support persons may participate in classes and educational services alongside the mother, as we strongly believe children benefit when everyone involved in their life learns and grows together. However, direct program assistance and services must remain within the eligibility requirements of the program.
We remain committed to serving families in our community with compassion, professionalism, and fairness while continuing to operate within the rules and expectations required of our organization. We truly appreciate everyone who supports our mission and allows us to continue helping families every day.
