Lake Thunderbird State Park A beautiful state park specializing in family camping, fishing, boating, biking, equestrian trails, and archery hunting in select areas.

The park office is open 8am to 5pm daily, and the Nature Center is open Wed to Sun, 10am to 4pm.

Fall Festival Update: Due to weather conditions, the Lake Thunderbird State Park portion of today's Fall Festival have been cancelled.

Our Fall Fest partners Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System will host the trunk-or-treat at the Thunderbird Casino. The AST Zombie Run will presume as scheduled at the lake with weather precautions.

Lake Thunderbird's Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz is still taking place! The last day to make an observation is September 30th. Here are the stats. Four citizen scientists have observed 56 plant and pollinator species in the park. That's a lot of species!

All data from this nationwide BioBlitz will contribute to pollinator and plant research. This will help us to conserve and protect these wonderful species!

If you're interested in participating in this self-led activity, but haven't used iNaturalist before, send us a DM to learn more.
