Last weekend of Music in the Park! The Jazz Finale!
This Sunday, we’re capping off the Music in the Park summer concert season with a special Jazz Finale on Sunday, August 30, beginning at 3 p.m. at Marvista Park. Enjoy an afternoon of incredible live jazz featuring Susan Pascal’s vibraphone quintet, the all-star Seattle quartet The Wellstone Conspiracy, and a rare performance by Pete Christlieb’s 10-piece Tall and Small Band. Christlieb, a renowned tenor saxophonist and longtime member of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson band, brings together some of the region’s finest jazz musicians for this special performance. The afternoon will also feature something for everyone, including an art market with local artists, face painting, a drum circle with Adventure between bands, plus delicious offerings from Rise 2 Grind coffee truck and Centro food truck. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab a coffee or a bite to eat, explore the art market, and enjoy one final afternoon of music, art, and community in the park!
A portion of this event is funded by 4Culture, King County’s cultural funding agency. Special thanks to our community partner, the City of Burien, for providing the drums for our drum circle!

It's here!

We're excited to announce that the new mural at the Marvista Park restroom is officially complete! The mural transforms the restroom building into a vibrant work of public art celebrating the natural beauty and winged wildlife of Normandy Park. It adds a colorful new landmark to Marvista Park, creating a welcoming and inspiring space for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come. If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to stop by Marvista Park and check it out in person. We hope this beautiful addition inspires community pride and provides the perfect backdrop for photos and memories for years to come. Thank you to Rocky Road Studios, the Normandy Park Arts Commission, and everyone who helped bring this project to life!
