Regarding the COVID-19 health pandemic that is sweeping our country and impacting our village and residents. In regard the pandemic itself The world health organization outlines the precautions listed below:
-Washing your hands regularly
-Maintain social distancing, this means maintaining at least 3 feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
-Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth reason being hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.
-Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
- Stay at home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance.
Please Call Village hall (708-453-0800) if you need assistance.
Above all else I would like to stress to everyone that while this is a frightful and uncommon situation that everything will be okay and that we are going to get through this together as a village.
