The Bigelow Hill Road project is getting close to construction. The project will include a short section of roadway reconstruction, drainage and other roadway improvements, preparation for paving, and paving itself.

We understand that everyone has places to go, and we appreciate your patience as this important work moves forward. Please use extreme caution in all work zones and help keep both workers and the traveling public safe.

This morning, our Parks Committee was pleased to welcome folks to the Veterans Memorial in honor of Memorial Day. Amari Meisner shared patriotic songs, students from Mill Stream Elementary’s 4th and 5th grade shared their thoughts on the importance of this solemn day, and wreaths were placed in memory of those who have sacrificed for our country 🇺🇸

MY PICK FOR ELK OF THE MONTH IS A GUY, WHO DOES A LOT FOR ANYONE THAT ASKS, OR IF HE SEES THAT SOMEONE NEEDS SOMETHING HE STEPS UP AND HELPS, HE IS ALWAYS SMILING, HAS A HEART OF GOLD AND TALKS ALL THE TIME !!

MIKE O’BERT PLEASE COME UP HERE. MIKE HAS BEEN GIVING TO THIS LODGE FOR A LONG TIME HE DOES IT VERY DISCREETLY. HE PUT IN THE PAD FOR THE DRUG AWARENESS TRAILER, HE AND PEOPLE HE KNOWS, TOOK CARE OF SOME OF THE PROBLEMS WE HAD WITH CATCH BASINS IN THE BACK PARKING LOT, SAVING US A LOT OF MONEY, HE DONATES TO DIFFERENT PROJECTS WE HAVE GOING, BUT YOU NEVER HEAR HIM TALK ABOUT IT. HE JUST DOES IT.. HE EVEN LET US EARN MONEY BY SOMEONE SMASHING A PIE IN HIS FACE, (THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ME) AND HIS WONDERFUL WIFE LISA DONATED MOST OF THE MONEY SO I COULD DO IT!! I THINK SHE REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING !! WHERE ELSE WILL YOU FIND A MAN WHO IS SO RIGHT FOR THIS AWARD. MIKE OBERT YOU ARE A PRIME EXAMPLE OF ELKS CARE ELKS SHARE. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO.
