Brad Farrin of Norridgewock, Maine, the current State Representative for House District 111, is seeking the Senate District 3 seat after serving two consecutive terms in the Maine House of Representatives. During his first term, Brad fought to lower taxes and energy costs, provide educational and job opportunities for our youth, provide additional funding for our drug crisis, and support for our S
eniors & Veterans. He brings an impressive list of accomplishments with him, encompassing everything from being a Captain on the Norridgewock Fire Department to managing the Corporate Facilities Department for a major New England construction company and served the state and nation for 29 years in the Air Force and the Maine Air National Guard, retiring as its Command Chief Master Sergeant. Brad is currently Facilities Manager for Milton CAT, New England’s premier construction equipment supplier. Brad brings with him more than 30 years of experience in construction and project management. He manages a department with a budget of more than 7-million dollars and is responsible for the start-up of all major capital projects. He’s also responsible for regulatory compliance for 15 facilities in 6 states. As Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Maine Air National Guard, Brad served as the principal adviser to the Maine Adjutant General on matters concerning the health, welfare, morale, professional development and utilization of more than 850 enlisted personnel serving in the Maine Air National Guard. Chief Farrin was selected as the 101st Air Refueling Wing Command Chief in October 2007. He deployed to Iraq in 2008 in Operation Iraq Freedom and to the Horn of Africa in 2009 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He has more than 18 major awards and decorations, including the Legion of Merit and the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal. Brad retired from the Maine Air National Guard in 2013, as its highest-ranking enlisted airman.
