Democracy works best when people are engaged. I joined the PA Legislative Black Caucus to encourage Pennsylvanians to know their elected officials, make their voices heard, and stay involved in their communities. www.repgregscott.com

Yesterday, the House Finance Committee voted to advance HB 2650 in a bipartisan vote. This bill would formalize Governor Shapiro’s GRID standards in law. Data center developers seeking Commonwealth tax benefits would be required to ensure projects receiving Commonwealth support protect energy affordability, engage local communities, create family-sustaining jobs, and meet strong environmental standards.

I voted for this legislation because I want the developers interested in our community to be held to the highest standards. If they’re going to be here, they need to be good neighbors.
