The Hancock Fire Company is deeply saddened to announce the passing of R. George Dewees, a former Fire Chief who served with distinction from 1984 to 1986. Throughout his career, Chief Dewees demonstrated his commitment to public service through his roles as police officer and firefighter. Notably, he dedicated many years to the board of directors. His cheerful demeanor, clever comments, and laughter will be greatly missed. We offer our sincerest condolences to his family and friends. You will be remembered for your service and contributions. RIP until we meet again.
