𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲

Dear MCDC community,

Yesterday’s Supreme Court order was troubling, but it did not rule that Donald Trump’s attempt to interfere with mail-in voting is constitutional or lawful. The Court’s procedural decision dealt with whether one particular lawsuit could block the administration at this stage - not whether the President has the authority to rewrite how states run their elections.

This fight is far from over. A separate injunction brought by the League of Women Voters remains in place, and Democratic attorneys and voting-rights advocates are already in court challenging these efforts.

So what should Pennsylvania voters do?

𝗩𝗢𝗧𝗘.

Despite the headlines, we encourage you to vote by mail- request your mail-in ballot and make a plan to return it. If you prefer to vote at the polls, make your plan to vote in person. Stay informed through trusted Pennsylvania and Montgomery County election sources, and encourage your friends and family to do the same.

There will be plenty of headlines between now and Election Day designed to create uncertainty about our elections. We will not allow that uncertainty to discourage people from participating.

Elections in Pennsylvania are administered here in Pennsylvania — and our job is to make sure every eligible voter knows their options and has the information they need to cast their ballot.

Thank you Governor Josh Shapiro!

BREAKING: I just signed an Executive Order implementing the strictest standards in the nation for AI data centers — because I will not allow Pennsylvanians to be bullied by greedy developers and bulldozed by the lawyers working for these big tech companies.

Effective immediately, we’re requiring AI data centers to commit to strict environmental and transparency requirements AND receive approval from the local community if they want to build here.

That’s not all: We’re also removing ALL data centers from our Fast Track permit program and stopping any office or agency under my jurisdiction from signing an NDA with AI data center developers.

I’m putting these developers on notice and letting them know that we will not let them bully Pennsylvanians, disregard our constitutional right to clean air and pure water, and drive up our utility bills.

I’m using the full weight of my executive authority to block the objectionable, unwarranted projects and put the nation’s strictest set of protections in place.
