Who says prevention professionals can't dance? 💃🕺

Our Drug & Alcohol Community Prevention team spent last week dancing and making a difference at Commonwealth Prevention Alliance's Annual PA Prevention Conference in Harrisburg.

If substances are offered to you, you always have the right to say no, but we know that can sometimes feel awkward in the moment.

Not sure what to say? Try this:
✔ “I’m good.”
✔ “Not my thing.”
✔ Change the subject.
✔ Blame something else (practice, family, etc.).

Having a plan makes it easier to stick to your choices.

Boredom isn’t harmless. It can lead to risky choices.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), studies link unstructured, unsupervised time with higher chances of teen substance use.

Teens should try this instead:
☀️ Get outside
🎨 Start something creative
👯 Make plans with friends
🎧 Dive into music or content creation
