Help Loui9son House if you are brave and have to go out and about. We could use some help with some groceries, supplies, and cleaners. Just calling on those who can help over the next week by dropping off items to Adams - Terry's Place. Please call 413-663-6323 EXt 4 as you get close to Adams, tell Maureen or person answering phone that you will be dropping off some food or supplies. Drive to the small porch at the doorway off the drive (just past the office window!) and leave on porch with your name, address and approximate amount of your donation. Then drive away, avoiding people interactions, then someone can come out and bring in. If you need help unloading, call office to say that and pull close to porch and open door or area to unload and ask office to send someone out to unload.

Drop Offs will also be accepted at North Adams Flood House, 149 Church Street. Call 413-6636323 Ext 3 between 10 and 3 and if no answer call Kathy at Ext 2.

Louison House remains OPEN! We relocated our shelter last week March 17th back to Adams in our redone building, now called Terry's Place, at 395 Old Columbia Street. It looks great and except for a sewer line problem that A-1 helped us with immediatly, we are doing well!

On Thursday, March 19, Louison House began taking in fire victims from the Ransford Properties SRO on Union Street, They are housed temporarily in North Adams in our Flood House, The men from the fire are safe and have food thanks to the McManns from Berkshire Food Project, and donations to Louison House from Cumberland Farms and Walmart.

Social or physically distancing is hard in tight quarters but we are doing the best we can and all residents and staff are working had washing, wiping surfaces, keeping a distance as much as possible, etc.

We are asking that visitors avoid coming by and NO DONATIONS of USED items through April. We do still monetary donations to help with the rising costs of moving, the housing of the fire victims, and ongoing supplies.

New supplies needed: cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves.

North Adams also remains open for our Administrative and Special Services. We do ask all needing assistance to please call us first.

HI Folks: Louison House needs disposable gloves for food service, medical dispensing and other situations. If you know of any available or if a closed restaurant can donate these to us, please let us know. We would also like a dozen facemasks for our isolation area in the event that someone gets sick.

We no longer need paper plates or plastic wear at this time.

$$$$ We do need financial donations. We have temporary housing and day time safe place for victims of the fire in North Adams, this does cost us in paying extra staffing, food and supplies.

Good news: we are making the final move Monday and Tuesday. The shelter ( Transitional housing) will be in Adams at 395 Old Columbia Street.
We will also have staffing at the North Adams Flood House to help people. We Are OPEN. But may be phone disruptions as we move on Tuesday. Brainspiral, (Chris, Hunter, etc.). are wonderful, but we have to change around phones and extensions. Our PHoNe number remains 413-663-6323 for both NA and Adams. EXT 4 will still be staffed 24/7.

For Safety precautions we will ask everyone for now to only enter the Adams building thru the door at the parking lot and will keep the back door in the fenced yard area locked. North Adams, enter thru the right side door, off carport with ramp. Knock or ring bell if door is locked. Please Everyone who comes to either building wash your hands on entering the building. We have bathrooms and kitchen easy to get to. If you are feeling ill but need assistance, please let us know this right away. We will keep areas as clean as possible, but ask for your assistance for the safety of all.

We are not yet ready for donations of clothing or other items as still trying to put away things and organize and really clean at both houses.

In North Adams we will need lots of help moving around furniture and organizing other items quickly this week to prepare for construction there. If you can help call Kathy Keeser 413-663-6323 ext2 or cell 413-664-4006.

Thanks for everyone from Helping Hands for all of their work in gathering prizes for the Chinese raffle, the band with the good music that kept us all going; and making all the arrangements with the Readsboro Inn. Thanks to the Readsboro Inn for the great space and for the buffet from which proceeds went to Louison House. Thanks to all who attended. It was a fun afternoon.

Thanks also to Helping Hands and Readsboro Inn for the TV raffle that took place around Halloween. Between the 2 fundraisers, Louison House received a little over $2100.
THANK YOU everyone!

Happy 1st anniversary (September 8th) to Brandy and her husband Mike Doran. Here’s to wishes for many more. Hope the vaca this week was enjoyable.

Congratulations Kathy Keeser for the "Executive Leadership Award" from the Nonprofit Center this year!
Why the f**k are yall leaving trash everywhere... I see that pillow that has been on the property wall for days. Pick it up. Why are you throwing out everyones sh*t? causing people to scream outside about burning the place down and snapping necks? Also why are you guys letting them in when they're making those kind of threats...Kinda concerning as a neighbor
Congratulations on the completion of Louison House's reconstruction!
