📢Elizabeth Dionne Submits Nomination Papers to Secretary of State🚨
For Immediate Release
May 22, 2026
BOSTON, MA - Republican candidate for Massachusetts State Treasurer Elizabeth Dionne announced today that her campaign has successfully collected all required signatures and will deliver them to the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth on the afternoon of Friday, May 22, 2026.
This is the culmination of a massive statewide, grassroots effort. Dionne’s team of campaign volunteers collected and delivered thousands of signatures to 252 cities and towns throughout Massachusetts. Over 8,100 of those signatures, from 13 of the 14 Massachusetts counties, have been certified at the local level, according to statistics maintained by the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. This is an extraordinary show of support for a first-time State Treasurer candidate, as only 5,000 certified signatures are required to appear on the ballot.
According to Dionne: “Voters want and deserve a State Treasurer who remembers that every dollar comes from a taxpayer’s pocket. I am committed to complete transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the Treasurer’s Office, where my first official act will be to order an audit of all 12 Treasury departments. I am profoundly grateful for the countless hours donated by dedicated volunteers. Thanks to their efforts, voters will have a choice in November: a continuation of the incumbent’s dysfunctional management style or a fiscally responsible, full-time Treasurer who answers to the people.”
Elizabeth Dionne is a mother, attorney, educator, former Belmont Select Board Member, and a year-round resident of Massachusetts. During her 10 years in elected office, Dionne earned a reputation as a relentless reformer who worked in a bipartisan fashion to craft common-sense solutions to local problems.
Of her time on the Belmont Select Board, Dionne said: “We implemented every possible reform: restructuring our Finance Team; streamlining departments; rewriting our zoning bylaws to encourage business development; and reining in our expense growth to pass revenue-based budgets. None of it is enough. Without additional local aid, cities and towns cannot fund public safety, education, and infrastructure. As State Treasurer, I will be a voice on Beacon Hill for the cities, towns, and taxpayers, who desperately need more local aid.”
No state employees contributed time to Dionne’s signature collection effort.
