Attention Seniors: there will be special information sessions provided by The Center for Alcohol & Drug Resources on the following dates at the Senior Center, 10 Beaver Ave., from 12 to 2 p.m.
• October 6, 2026
• October 20, 2026
• October 27, 2026
Learn how life transitions associated with aging can lead to problems with alcohol and medications, learn the warning signs of problems, and how prevention and screening can help identify a need for help.
Lunch will be served and a $25 gift card will be handed out for attending two of the three sessions.

Residents are invited to attend a Community 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony marking 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.

This ceremony will bring families, friends, and neighbors together to remember the men and women who lost their lives, pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of first responders and service members, and reflect in unity, gratitude, and hope.

Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Zadroga Field, Schuyler Avenue

Residents are advised that Schuyler Avenue will be closed for setup, the ceremony, and breakdown. The NAPD will provide traffic plan information closer to the ceremony. Thank you for your patience as the community honors those whose lives were forever changed.

Mayor Pronti and the Borough Council invite residents, families, and friends to Celebrate North Arlington with a full day of community fun and entertainment.

This free event will feature kids rides, a petting zoo, face painting, food and drink vendors, first responder demonstrations, local business booths, community organizations, music by DJ Ray, and a concert by Swingman & The Misfit Mutts.

Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has begun its annual hydrant flushing program throughout its service area. Flushing will take place on weekdays (excluding holidays), weather permitting, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and is expected to continue through August 4, 2026.

This important maintenance program helps ensure a reliable water supply by removing sediment buildup and maintaining proper water flow in our system.

During flushing, customers may notice temporary water discoloration and/or reduced water pressure. This is normal and occurs as sediment and naturally occurring minerals are stirred within the water mains. As a precaution, we recommend avoiding laundry during flushing hours and waiting until water runs clear before using it for drinking or cooking. If you experience discoloration, simply run your cold water tap until it clears.

The 2026/2027 tax bills have not yet been sent out due to delays in certifying the tax rate from Bergen County tax officials. Our municipal budget has been long finalized and submitted. It is hoped that county certification and subsequent printing and mailing of the bills will be completed by mid August. New due dates will be announced at that time. Due to the strong financial position of our borough, we have been able to avoid issuing costly and confusing estimated bills as many of our surrounding communities have needed to do.

"The Taylor Swift Experience" POSTPONED/RESCHEDULED

Once again Mother Nature has caused us to postpone tonight's concert. The threat of severe weather has made it two postponements in a row.

The rescheduled date for "The Taylor Swift Experience" is Monday, August 17.

Representatives are available to answer your questions about SNAP and help you with your application.
