A special thank you to Chief Donnelly, Deputy Chief Mariotti, Peter Lutterbach, Gary Largess, the Newport Fire Department, and the City of Newport for your continued confidence in Greenwood Emergency Vehicles and E-ONE.

Engine 2 was designed specifically to meet the Newport Fire Department’s operating procedures and features:

• E-ONE Severe Duty Typhoon cab with flat roof
• E-ONE Severe Duty 3/16" extruded aluminum roll-cage cab
• Barrier-style cab doors
• Severe-service dash, overhead, and engine cover
• Bostrom seating with SCBA brackets
• Heavy-duty front bumper with recessed Q2B siren and quick-attack jump line
• Cummins X12 engine
• E-ONE galvanized, powder-coated, and painted frame rails
• Geomet-coated fasteners and Nano-Protect spray coatings for enhanced corrosion protection

Unfortunately, we can’t use lights and sirens when delivering 3 of 6 brand-new Typhoon custom pumpers to the Boston Fire Department, so we have to sit in traffic just like everyone else! 🚒🚦 We made it there safely, though!

Engine 2 was designed specifically to meet the East Greenwich Fire Department’s operating procedures and features:
