🎃👻 Trunk or Treat at the Creek! 👻🎃

We had a spooktacular time at our Fox Creek Trunk or Treat! From creative trunks, inflatables, and awesome costumes to plenty of candy, face painting, games and lots of smiles, it was the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with our Predator family. 🖤❤️

A huge thank you to Senior Advisory for hosting and for everyone who helped make the day so much fun! We’re already looking forward to next year! 🍬🎃

Senior Night 🎓🏈📣🎷🥁

Last night, we celebrated the seniors who have made their mark on the Creek as we wrapped up our final home football game of the season. ❤️🖤

We honored our senior football players, cheerleaders, and members of the Pride of Fox Creek Marching Band — the students who have spent countless Friday nights under the lights, cheering, competing, performing, and making memories along the way.

Thank you for the time, energy, and memories you’ve given to Fox Creek. We’re so proud of each of you, and we will miss you next year. 🥹

🎾 PHYSICS IN ACTION! 🎾

Our students just crushed this hands-on momentum and impulse lab! We dropped tennis balls from different heights and analyzed the forces during impact—and the results were AMAZING! 💥

Here's what made this lab so cool:
✨ Students measured drop heights, bounce heights, and calculated speeds using real physics equations
✨ We explored how impulse changes momentum and why the ball bounces back up
✨ Teams compared results on concrete vs. grass to see how surfaces affect force and contact time

Key takeaway: The change in momentum is HUGE because the ball completely reverses direction! Students calculated that even though contact time is only about 0.01 seconds, the average force during impact can be hundreds of Newtons! 🤯

This lab connected perfectly to real-world applications—like why boxers ""ride with the punch"" to reduce impact force by increasing contact time. Our students are now thinking like physicists! 🧠⚡

So proud of how everyone collaborated, collected precise data, and made sense of the impulse-momentum relationship. Science is better when we do it together! 👏

Don't let hunger haunt our community! 👻

📅 Friday, October 23rd! For just $1, students can wear their favorite hat and help fight hunger! 💛 All proceeds will benefit Golden Harvest Food Bank's "It's Spooky to Be Hungry" campaign!

Linear Leaders: Choose It. Solve It. Teach It. Own It.

In this student-led activity, each student chose a linear-equations concept or problem to master and teach to the class. Students explained their reasoning, demonstrated the steps, and answered questions from their classmates.

By becoming the teacher, students strengthened their understanding, built confidence, practiced mathematical communication, and learned from one another. Every student had an opportunity to lead the learning!
