The Robert Stafford Spirit Award honors a young U-8 soccer player who tragically lost his life in an accident while preparing to play the game he loved so much.

Robert Stafford played soccer with all of his heart, mind, body, and spirit. It is that same spirit that we witness each season as our players take the field with enthusiasm, determination, sportsmanship, and a genuine love for the game.

During the spring season, each U-8 coach is asked to select one player from their team who best exemplifies the qualities that Robert displayed every time he stepped onto the field. These players demonstrate a positive attitude, great sportsmanship, a willingness to learn, strong teamwork and an unwavering passion for soccer.

We are proud to recognize the following recipients of the Robert Stafford Spirit Award for the Spring 2026 season🏆:
