North Augusta Public Safety and The Aiken Department of Public Safety are in the process of holding a joint fire recruit school. This joint effort teaches the same curriculum as the South Carolina Fire Academy while using in-house resources and instructors. Sometimes this option assists both agencies in getting our PSO's and Firefighters through fire training without having to wait for an open spot at the State Fire Academy. Thanks again to ADPS for allowing us to join you in the venture.

The North Augusta Department of Public Safety extends our heartfelt condolences to the Columbia Police Department, SC, following the tragic loss of one of their officers and the injury of another in the line of duty.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Columbia Police Department, the officers’ families, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers during this incredibly difficult time.

We stand with our brothers and sisters in blue. 💙

Please keep the fallen officer, the injured officer, their families, and the entire Columbia Police Department in your thoughts and prayers.

North Augusta Public Safety assisted with a structure fire on Star Bright Lane. We were able to provide an engine and manpower along with other agencies. This was especially important as there were no fire hydrants near the residence and a water shuttle operation had to be established requiring the use of multiple apparatus from several agencies. Having strong working partnerships with our mutual aid partners is something we value greatly.

The North Augusta Public Safety Community Action Team would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Terry Lambert of Terry Lambert Hyundai for their monetary donation to support the Public Safety Trunk or Treat. One of the goals is to keep the Trunk or Treat free to all that attend. Partnerships such as this one help us achieve that goal. Last night North Augusta Public Safety participated in the Hands Across the Border initiative sponsored by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Network and the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety. Officers from numerous South Carolina and Georgia agencies came together for a briefing and then conducted safety checkpoints at the state line in support of each other.
