North Augusta Public Safety was one of many mutual aid agencies that responded recently to McCormick High School for a large fire. Working hand in hand with agencies from around the area, the fire was controlled, then extinguished. We are proud to work with these other great agencies and thank them for their trust in us.

People often ask us why there are so many police cars at a fire here in North Augusta. If you were not aware, we are cross trained and perform law enforcement and fire suppression duties. This recent fire on Winyah Dr. is a good example of how there may appear to be a lot of police cars at a fire, but for every police car, you get a fireman with gear. Due to the quick and large response, we were able to rapidly get this structure fire under control, minimizing damage to the structure.
