The Belvedere Fire Department is seeking men and women interested in serving as Volunteers for our community. Firefighters may be eligible for an income tax deduction of up to $6,000 (effective for tax year 2024), through the SC Department of Revenue. Many of our members have gone on to work full time positions in this profession in many parts of the U.S. Chiefs and Capt's over large city organiza

tions. We have several full time firefighters that are employed with other organizations and volunteer in their spare time with our department.

​There is a place for everyone with our family of members from single mothers, nurses, electricians, chefs and many other career professionals. We offer a gym, full kitchen, large grill/picnic area and TV room for your enjoyment anytime for those over 18yrs of age. Stay at least 500 feet behind any moving emergency vehicle (fire truck, ambulance, patrol car) displaying flashing warning lights. This driver was following to close and driving to fast for conditions while our apparatus was responding to a residential alarm. No injuries were reported thankfully. Slow Down Move Over Inc.

Boil water Advisory Coventry Court and Coventry Circle

ECWSA advises their customers located on Coventry Court and Coventry Circle to vigorously boil their water for one (1) full minute before drinking and cooking until otherwise notified. A main line water leak caused the pressure to drop in this area. It typically takes 24 hours for flushing and testing to be done after the leak is repaired. This is strictly a precautionary measure. You will be notified once the repeal is issued. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office at 803-637-3011.

We recently completed our annual fire pump testing as part of our ongoing commitment to safety and operational excellence. This testing ensures that each fire engine meets the performance standards set by ISO and NFPA, including the ability to pump its rated gallons per minute (GPM).

The evaluation consists of a four-part test:

1. Primer/Draft Timing Test: Evaluates the initial water drafting capability; a successful prime is required to draft water.
2. Capacity Test: Evaluates the truck's ability to maintain its rated capacity (e.g., 1000, 1250, or 1500 GPM) at 150 psi over a 20-minute period.
3. Intermediate Rated Reduction Test: Evaluates performance at 200 psi for 10 minutes.
4. Pressure Test: Evaluates the truck's highest rated operating pressure at 250 psi over a 10-minute period.
