Here are some events for the 2019 season that the Natural Heritage Trust is helping to fund! Most are FREE, however, there may be an $8.00 parking fee in effect.

We are putting some feelers out to host a paint night - would anyone artistically gifted be willing to volunteer their time to lead a painting tutorial? Would anyone be willing to donate the supplies needed?

Throughout the season, you can visit Belmont Lake State Park to attend a number of free events. We host a Spring Egg Hunt, Family Freshwater Fishing Clinic, Children's Summer Theater (two performances), Jack-O'-Lantern Sail, and a Tree Lighting Ceremony.

But, we'd like to do more.

We would like to give you more opportunities to visit our park and create lasting memories.

These are our goals for the 2019 Season:

FREE AMENITIES/EVENTS:

*Build dog run to accomodate big and small dogs (separated); a fenced in area with benches, shaded areas, water fountain(s), limited agility equipment, garbage recepticles and dog waste stations.

*Make a 12' gazebo available to the public; not rentable.

*Create new environmental signs that address a number of topics, including: (1) Pollinators, (2) Lake Life, (3) Plant Life, (4) Life Cycles, (5) Food Chain(s), (6) Fishing Line Dangers, (7) Dangerous Plants, (8) Dangers of Feeding Wildlife, (9) Mammals & Reptiles.

*Scavenger hunt/children's activity book
