This is NOT funding for historic buildings.
This is a tax credit on passive income to owners of the properties.

Center Brook was approved for this a few years ago, however we did not have over $325,000 in annual income taxes to take advantage of a lower tax rate.

This only allows wealthy property owners to lower their tax rate.

The Ohio Department of Development has opened a new application round for the Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program to fund the rehabilitation of historic buildings.

A fun update for the day.
Ground penetrating radar in the backyard picked up a 14‘ x 14‘ anomaly in the soil. The location and the size would lineup with a blacksmith shop that was noted in a diary.
I see a rebuild project in the future.

The students are doing spot digs throughout the yard. One of the digs is turning up a lot of brick about 8 inches below the sod.
