Deerfield Township Fire Department just put in service this past weekend our new Medical Response Vehicle. Our old vehicle will be repurposed as a wildland vehicle for grass fires, etc. This vehicle will be more practical for responding to medical incidents. We would like to thank our township residents and township board for their continued support. Also a special thanks to Tim Wilcox at Jim Riehl’s Friendly Dodge Chrysler in Lapeer and Arrowhead Upfitters Inc.

Please come and join us on June 7th for our annual Pancake Breakfast. This event is free but we will be accepting donations. In addition to a great breakfast, we will have Station Tours, Fire Prevention material, Fire Trucks will be on display and a chance to meet some of your local fire fighters!

This past Monday we finalized the changes to our day shift fire officers. We are pleased to announce that Tom Mitchell has been appointed to Day Shift Captain, Chris Walker has been appointed to day shift Lieutenant and Josh Evoy has been appointed to Day shift Safety Officer. We would like to thank all three members for their hard work and dedication to our community!
