North Brunswick Woman's Club Next Meeting 7 PM Dec 13 @ Municipal Bldg. For regular meetings,WOMEN WHO LIVE/WORK IN NORTH BRUNSWICK ARE WELCOMED. NBWC is a member of NJSFWC since 1965.

About Us - The Beginning: In March 1965, Ruth Supp, an active Junior, met with four women to discuss forming a Woman's Club in North Brunswick. In June of that year they held their first Installation Dinner. There were 40 Charter Members. Their first two departments wee American Home and Art. The first fundraiser netted $225 which was donated to the North Brunswick Public Library which was just f

orming. For our work with the library and the Kilmer Job Corps in 1966, we were awarded a Shell Oil Company Youth Education Award. Community Related Activities: We have continued to support the NB Library with over $6,000 in donations. $6,800 was raised to purhase life-support equipment for the First Aid Squad. $4,000 was raised to purchase a 12 passengar van for the Recreation Committee. A variety show as held to raise funds for lighting for the NB Township HS stadium. One of the Golden Balls raised money to purchase a kidney dialysis machine for the use of a Township resident. A Scholarship Fund was started in 1975 to be given each year to a North Brunswick graduating senior. We now give two $750 scholarships to NBTHS seniors and two $50 merit awards are given to County Vocational schoool students. Donations were made of bullet proof vests for the Police Department, pagers for the three Fire Departments, a hydraulic life for the Recreation Department van, a piano and pool table for the Senior Citizen Building.

THANK YOU to all that attended our Annual Craft-Vendor Show and to those who donated to our Tricky Tray. We had a steady flow of shoppers throughout the day and ended the afternoon with a record-breaking Tricky Tray fundraiser. Hope you all had as much fun as we did. NBWC

The Valerie Fund of New Jersey is in need of help. As you may remember, they were the NJSFWC 2000-2002 Special State Project.
The State Board has put out a request for all Clubs to give the Valerie Fund special consideration this holiday season. They are in need of various items, toys, clothing, arts and crafts, dolls, etc.

Our Township Library is collecting pairs of used shoes (sole intact) for their fundraiser. Bring shoes to NB Public Library on Hermann Road.

DIRECTIONS TO THE 11/9 CRAFT/VENDOR SHOW & TRICKY TRAY:
Due to construction on Rt 130, we want to make sure you are aware of the back entrance into Our Lady of Peace Church's parking lot.
- If coming on Rt 130N, construction will not effect you. Make the next right turn into parking lot just after Pershing Ave.
- If coming off of Rt 130S from Rt 1, turn left at the Washington Place light (Gulf Station). Make first right onto to Miriam Street and first right onto Harding Ave. The entrance to the parking lot is on your left.
If you miss the turn on Washington Place, continue driving to Renaisance Blvd and make a U-Turn to get back to the 130 light. Make a left turn to go back on 130 North. Follow directions above for 130N.
