Congratulations to NBTEA endorsed candidates Jason Carter and Barbara Cepeda! We know that you will do great things for the North Brunswick school community!

We also wish to congratulate Sonali Sinha on her victory as well!

We also want to thank Zaire Ali and Colleen Keefe for their service on the BOE. Thank you for your contributions during your tenure on the Board.

During the month of October, the North Brunswick PBA Local 160 held its second annual Back 2 School Elementary School PTO Challenge, in which we challenged all four elementary schools in North Brunswick to see which PTO could raise the greatest amount of non-perishable donations for the North Brunswick Food Bank.

Today, on October 30th, all the goods were picked up and delivered to the food bank.

The results are as follows:

🥇 1st Place: Judd School PTO
🥈 2nd Place: Parsons School PTO
🥉 Tied for 3rd Place: Livingston Park School PTO & John Adams School PTO

The Judd Bulldogs hold the title and bragging rights for the remainder of the year until next year’s challenge! They will receive a special surprise visit and prize from our members later this year. Judd came back swinging from last year’s challenge to bring the big win home!

Congratulations to all the students and parents for participating in such a meaningful event that benefits those in need within our community. A special thank you to our partners at the North Brunswick Township Education Association for their continued dedication to educating our future leaders and instilling a strong sense of community care and social responsibility.

A big thank you also goes out to North Brunswick DPW and North Brunswick Parks and Recreation for their assistance in collecting and delivering donations.
Alongside our members, they worked tirelessly through torrential downpours, to ensure the donations made it on time. Special thanks to Dan Krushinski for his outstanding support!

Huge shout out to our very own PTO Liason Mr. Trevor Morrison for all his help and coordination.

Because of the ongoing Federal Government Shutdown, it is more important than ever to support our local North Brunswick food bank. Many individuals and families may be facing interruptions in their benefits, and community support is essential to ensure everyone is cared for during this time.

We are proud to have the ongoing partnership and support of the North Brunswick Mayor’s Office, North Brunswick OEM, and Township Administration as we continue promoting the best in community welfare, civic duty, and compassion for our neighbors.

There will be a curfew in place for Mischief Night, Thursday, October 30th and Halloween, Friday, October 31st.

The curfew for both nights is 8 p.m. This is done by resolution of the Mayor and Council that was adopted on September 22, 2025.

This resolution applies to ALL persons under the age of 18. Children shall not be on the street and/or public areas of the Township of North Brunswick after 8 p.m.

This curfew will be enforced by the North Brunswick Township Police Department. Thank you and stay safe!

🎀October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

This month, the North Brunswick PBA Local 160, , and Maddy & Kate Sauvigne Cancer Foundation are coming together for a cause close to our hearts.

We are selling limited-edition drink coasters featuring the North Brunswick Police Department Patch, the North Brunswick PBA 160, and the MKS Foundation logo exclusively at the North Brunswick Pub for $20 each.

All proceeds will go directly to the MKS Cancer Foundation, created by Maddy and Kate Sauvigne, the daughters of our very own PBA 160 Member, Lieutenant Michael Sauvigne. When their mom Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer, Maddy and Kate started with a lemonade stand to help other families in need. That simple act of love has grown into a foundation that has raised over $57,000 for breast cancer care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

As Sarah told her family through her fight, “We can do hard things.” and together, as a family, as a union, and as a community, we are in this fight side by side.

Today, October 2nd, we remember Officer Robert Heacock of our Department. Officer Heacock lost his life in the line of duty in 1984 while responding to a Robbery call that ended up being a false alarm.
He is gone, but not forgotten.
