I want to teach all of the staff from supported apartments, group homes, DSPs, and day programs to help the person with a disability to get involved with becoming an advocate.

The Governor’s Office, in collaboration with the Office of Innovation and Department of Human Services, is working together to create an online disability information hub that will serve as a centralized location for individuals with disabilities and their families to learn about available disability-related services and resources.

They are recruiting individuals who have lived experience with a disability and/or caregivers who provide support for individuals with disabilities to help test this new website. They’d like to have a 60-minute conversation remotely over Zoom during which you would have the opportunity to navigate and provide feedback on the unfinished version of the website. They will compensate individuals with a $75 eGift card following the video call.

TO PARTICIPATE: Email [email protected]
With the subject heading “INFORMATION HUB” and send us:
-Your name
-Type of participant you are
-Dates & times you are available from March 30th to April 30th.

About "Scattergories"
In the Scattergories game, players come up with answers that fit the categories listed on their card. Sounds easy, but the answers need to start with the letter rolled on the die! Come up with as many answers as you can before time runs out, but be creative – you only get points if no other person has the same answer.

Songs not only provide possibilities for self-expression, but also give us a chance to explore more sensitive and/or touchy themes and relationships in our lives. Through songwriting, we can get and give a frame of reference to our lives, including the things we have lost, things that are left, and things that are to come. In this video, Joanna explores a way to come up with original melodies for through Chrome Music Lab’s Songmaker: https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Song-Maker
