Old Bridge Twp. Police Department is hosting its 4th Annual National Night Out Tuesday August 4th from 6pm to 9pm.

Come out and see all the Township's first responders, emergency vehicles, DPW trucks and Animal Shelter.

There will be music, face painters, bounce houses, dunk tank, giveaways, free food & ice cream, and so much more for the residents of Old Bridge to enjoy!!!

We look forward to seeing all of you there!!

Last week on Tuesday the 21st at 07:00 AM, SOBFD was dispatched to a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, crews quickly stretched multiple lines for fire suppression while simultaneously conducting a primary search. Once the visible fire was knocked down, companies began an extensive interior overhaul to ensure no hidden fire remained. Members were on scene for approximately 5 hours.

This morning SOBFD was dispatched to Route 18 N for a vehicle fire. Middlesex County Hazmat FMBA Local 100 was also dispatched for oil from the vehicle that entered a storm drain.

This past Monday, SOBFD, along with our mutual aid partners and Middlesex County Hazmat FMBA Local 100 took part in training on the mobilization and use of Middlesex County’s HAZMAT mass decontamination shower.

On 3/8 at 03:23AM SOBFD was dispatched to a possible car fire. Units arrived to multiple dump trucks on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and the scene was turned over to the Bureau of Fire Prevention.

Blizzard conditions are imminent. One to two feet of snow is anticipated. Two feet of snow will render a fire hydrant invisible.

The fire department asks that you keep fire hydrants clear of snow if one is located on or near your property.

If a hydrant is situated on a property occupied by an elderly individual, kindly clear the hydrant on their behalf.

All firehouses will maintain standby crews on-site, ready to respond to emergency calls.

Please refrain from traveling during the storm to enable the DPW to maintain clear roads.
