Year after year, we’ve heard our patrons asking for more quiet places to study, work, and meet. We haven’t had the space to accommodate that request . . . until now!

After renovation, our second floor will offer more spaces to settle in and stay awhile. We will house our fiction, nonfiction, AV and audiobook collections there, along with public computers, multiple study/meeting rooms, and several quiet nooks perfect for studying, working, or getting lost in a good book.

The boxes are stacking up! 📦📦📦

We are knee deep into our first week of packing and boy have we gotten a lot done! All of our staff have been working incredibly hard to make this move as quick and easy as possible.

Send all the positive thoughts and prayers our way as we start moving shelves of books to the Hoover District next week!

NCPL will be at the first ever Age Friendly Stark County Field Day on September 11 at Tam O' Shanter Park in Jackson! There will be food, activities, resources and more for a family and age-friendly experience everyone will love!

We were saddened to hear of Dolly Parton's passing today. The legacy she spent her life building will be remembered for generations to come! The work that she has done for early childhood literacy with her program, Dolly Patron's Imagination Library, is unmatched. What a legend 💙 RIP Dolly!

The Libby app team is saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a beloved artist and cultural icon, but perhaps just as importantly, she was a lifelong champion of literacy and the belief that everyone deserves access to books. Through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of children in communities across the globe and inspired generations of young readers to discover the joy of reading.

Today, we’re taking a quiet moment to read in Dolly’s memory and to celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

As of today, NCPL is officially closed for renovations! We will spend the next 3 to 4 weeks moving our staff and a majority of our collection into the former DBAT facility in The Hoover District!

The Children's Department has always been a staple in our library and that will not change once renovations are complete!

We're making few changes to the department so it can better serve the families who frequent our library. Take a look at the rendered images of the renovated Children's Department our amazing architects at SHP provided!

Our Children's Department will move to the main level of our library, bringing books, story times, and family spaces, together. This will provide better access to those who use wheelchairs, strollers and those who have mobility issues.

We are also building a dedicated children's programming room connected to the Children’s Department that offers families more space to learn, create, play, and discover together. Families will now have a one stop shop when visiting the library, alleviating the stress of moving to multiple locations across the library with the whole family.
