PUBLIC COMMENT NOTICE FOR THE PROPOSED DEMOLITIONS OF BUILDINGS 006, 103, 151, 173, AND 174
AT NAVAL STATION GREAT LAKES, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS

The U.S. Navy gives notice, per the National Historic Preservation Act, and its governing regulations of 36 Code of Federal Regulations Part 800, that a Memorandum of Agreement is being prepared to mitigate adverse effects to historic properties at Naval Station Great Lakes (NSGL) in Great Lakes, Illinois. The proposed action is to demolish contributing resources of the NSGL Historic District (Buildings 006, 103, 151, 173, and 174). The proposed action is needed to promote efficient and economical use of real property assets at NSGL. The project factsheet provides a brief description of the project, the memorandum of agreement, the areas of potential effects, and identification of historic properties.
