We are under a Heat Advisory until at least 9/2. Stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure and take frequent breaks and wear loose fitting, light colored clothing.

Hot temperatures and high heat indices will occur for the next three days as strong upper level high pressure spreads over the area. The heat will ease late in the week as a cold front sags southwards.

As many Ohio students complete their first week back at school, remember to slow down, stay alert, and eliminate distractions in school zones. With increased traffic, frequent school bus stops, and students walking or biking to school, drivers must stay alert to their surroundings.

Obey posted school-zone speed limits, watch for children entering the roadway, and remove any distractions. A few extra seconds of caution behind the wheel can make all the difference in ensuring every student arrives at school and returns home safely.

It's back to school season-

Be aware and observe school zone speed limits and no turn on red restrictions. Be alert to increased pedestrian traffic.

Parents- Talk to you kids about being safe pedestrians. Walk in groups, use crosswalks, follow crossing lights, don't have pods in your ears and your nose in your phone.

Below is a reminder of when you are/are not required to stop for school busses.

Do not drive on water covered roads- Turn around, don't drown.

Outdoor warning sirens are not designed to be heard indoors and should not be used as a means of alert if indoors.

[4:05 PM] Another round of active weather is expected tonight, with thunderstorms and rounds of heavy rain. With saturated soils, flooding will occur quicker than normal and trees will be downed easier with any gusty winds.

Stay Weather Aware today. The afternoon/evening round of storms appear to have the higher potential for severe weather. Have reliable ways to receive alerts and plans for taking shelter if necessary.

Multiple rounds of storms are expected throughout the day today, with strong to damaging winds and very heavy rain and flash flooding being the primary threats. The heavy rain/flash flooding potential will linger through tonight into early Wednesday morning.

Now is the time to plan for severe weather and flooding! Make sure you and your family know what to do if severe weather or flash flooding impacts your area!

Lots of events around the region this weekend and it looks like plenty of rain and some storms to go with it. Stay weather aware if your plans have you outside today

A low pressure system will usher in showers and storms capable of producing heavy rainfall. The flood risk increases where repeated rounds of storms occur. Additional rainfall will also be found on Sunday.

A complex of thunderstorms is expected to dive south from the northwestern Great Lakes region late this afternoon into this evening. These storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, which may blown down tree limbs or cause isolated power outages. Additionally,
large hail and heavy rain are threats.
