Our Fourth Grade Character Ed. Book Club officially wrapped up a fantastic year of reading with Dog Diaries: Sweetie, a story told from the perspective of George Washington's real-life hound! As our readers dived deep into discussions and activities related to Sweetie's adventures, they decided to make some history of their own. Taking inspiration from Sweetie, our club members launched a community service project to help local pups in need. The students created special goody bags for a local animal rescue. Each bag was packed with love, featuring a homemade dog tug toy, yummy treats, and a note of thanks. Thank you to our amazing readers and their families for a wonderful year of great books and big hearts!

On June 5th, several members of the North Collins Trap Team traveled to the State Tournament held in Ciero, NY. Here are some stats from the 1A Class:

Varsity Males (out of 263 athletes):

Novice Males (out of 94 athletes):

Congratulations to our Girls Varsity Softball team and their coach, Mr. Warren, for being awarded the Scholar-Athlete Team Award! Each year, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recognizes high school sports teams whose team GPA for 75% of the roster is greater than or equal to 90%. Congratulations to our NC scholar athletes!

The fleet might have been a little smaller this year, but the tradition goes on!

On Wednesday, students from across the district drove their farm equipment in our annual Tractor Day parade to the Jr./Sr. High School. Huge thanks to our community for sharing the roads, and to the students who kept the tradition alive!

The High School Trap Team closed out the spring season with a little friendly competition. Each team member brought a friend or family member along for the fun, and they even switched things up by trying their hand at s***t. The team also honored their graduating seniors who have been on the Trap Team since 7th grade. Congratulations to Noah Laing, Justin Niefergold, and Jonathan Rice! Thank you for your leadership and dedication over the years. We are so proud of you!

It’s been an unforgettable season. Thank you to Coach Durrett, Safety Officers Mr. Sager and Mr. Swallow, and alumnus team member Mason Kohn for making it a success. See you at the range!

Congratulations to Class of 2026 Senior, John Schlenker, on officially signing to play soccer at next fall! While competing at the collegiate level for the Hawks, John will also be pursuing his passion for the sports industry by majoring in Sports Management.

Achievements like this are a testament to the dedication of our student-athletes, the support of their families, and the guidance of our coaching staff and teachers. Thank you, John, for your outstanding contributions to our athletic programs and continuing to make us proud! Go Hawks!
