ATTENTION COMMUNITY:
We want to let the community know that tomorrow, June 12th, at 9:30am, the Police and Fire department along with the Emergency Squad will be coordinating a mock DWI crash at the Marion J Fricano Town Park as part of the schools Prom Promise.
The event will be as realistic as it possibly can be, so you should anticipate sirens, fire trucks, police cars, an ambulance and a helicopter (pending weather), to arrive at the scene of the Mock DWI crash.
We are posting this message so that the community knows, this is not a real accident, but a drill to help our Prom goers understand the seriousness of driving under the influence.
We hope you understand and can appreciate the work our community puts into this event to help keep our kids safe.
Thank you.

🚨 Did You Know? 🚨

The color of emergency vehicle lights can tell you who is responding to an emergency in the Town of Eden.

🟢 Green Lights – Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel responding to assist the ambulance.

🔵 Blue Lights – Volunteer firefighters responding to the fire hall or directly to an emergency scene.

🔴⚪ Red and White Lights – Authorized emergency vehicles, including ambulances, fire apparatus, and police vehicles actively responding to emergencies.

When you see emergency lights, please stay alert, slow down, and give responders the room they need to safely reach those in need. Every second counts during an emergency.

Thank you for helping keep our first responders and community safe!

Please remember to be respectful of emergency vehicles and patient privacy. Recording and taking photos during emergencies is not just inappropriate but violates peoples privacy. You can also be getting in the way of first responders trying to provide care.

Remember if it were you and your family or friends you probably would not want people recording or taking photos. This is not a photo op or a “cool” social media post, it’s someone’s life. Be respectful, thank you.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is more than the start of summer — it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we gather with family and friends, attend parades, or visit memorials, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

From all of us at North Collins Emergency Squad, we thank those who served who never made it home.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸🚑

Day 6 of National EMS Week 2026 🚑💚💛

This year’s theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” is about the people who step up, support their teams, and help keep EMS moving forward every single day.

Today I am recognizing Bryan Judson, Assistant Director of Operations and an Advanced EMT.

Bryan is responsible for coordinating training for our squad, and over the last year he has continuously stepped up and taken on more responsibility — without being asked, without hesitation, and without complaint… well, maybe a little complaining, because that’s just who he is. 😂

No matter what needs to get done, Bryan helps keep things moving forward and makes sure the squad continues to operate smoothly. What I appreciate most about Bryan isn’t just the work he’s done — it’s the teamwork and camaraderie we’ve built along the way. He has always been someone I can rely on, someone who supports the mission of the squad, and someone who genuinely cares about the people in this organization.

Leadership isn’t always about titles. Sometimes it’s about quietly stepping up when the moment calls for it, supporting the team, and making sure the job gets done. Bryan has done exactly that.

Thank you, Bryan, for everything you’ve done and continue to do for North Collins EMS. Your dedication, support, and friendship mean more to me than you probably realize. Thank you for stepping up for this organization when it matters most. 💚💛🚑 - Tracy

With this being National EMS week what better time to get involved than now! You do not need to be an EMT to join. Do you have availability during daytime hours? We could always use a dedicated driver to assist us during the daytime hours. Only available overnights? That's ok too. We have room for everyone!
