📚Our library cards don't stop at the town line. If you live or own property anywhere in the Valley, including Albany, Bartlett, Jackson, Madison, Conway, Tamworth, Eaton, Chatham, Hale's/Hart's Location, or Fryeburg & Brownfield, ME, you are eligible for a free library card; we appreciate, but don't require, a $10 donation for new patrons.

Happy World Environment Day! 🌍🌱

At Pope Memorial Library, we love stories that inspire us to care for our beautiful planet and local community! If you're looking for ways to celebrate this weekend, we’ve got a few ideas:

1. Stop by and check out our collection of books on nature, gardening, conservation, and sustainability for all ages. 📚

2. Head across the street to Cheese Louise and order the June monthly special, The Okie Dokie Artichoke. Not only is it delicious, but $3 from every sandwich comes right back to support the library! 🥪❤️

3. Connect with natures on June 25th at 1 PM for our Live Reptile Program with Morphs & Milestones to learn more about the reptiles we share our world with! 🦎

We’re kicking off the weekend at Pope Memorial Library with a Sip & Paint FUNdraiser at the library at 6:30 PM. Our theme is fields of flowers, but you can paint whatever inspires you.

Bring your favorite beverage, bring your friends, and leave the stress of the week at the door. We will provide the canvas, supplies and the fun.

Every hero has a name, and every name has a story. This Memorial Day, we honor the brave individuals who gave everything to protect our freedom. Their legacies are forever written into the heart of our community.

We will be closed in observance of Memorial Memorial Day on Monday, May 24. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26.
