Thank you Union Bank, VT & NH for your $1,200 donation in support of our community lunch program. Your support allows us to offer sponsored lunches that are a little more special than our everyday meals. These lunches often draw a larger crowd, giving us the opportunity to welcome new participants and introduce them to the many programs and services available at the Gibson Center.
Most importantly, your generosity helps create a place where older adults feel connected and valued. A shared meal may seem simple, but for someone who lives alone or has limited opportunities for social interaction, it can make a meaningful difference in their health, happiness, and sense of belonging. Sincerely, David Smolen, Executive Director

We’re excited to share that the Gibson Center and Ossipee Concerned Citizens have been selected to participate in the Carroll County Food Access Network Farm to Senior Pilot Project, led by UNH Extension!

Thanks to a $7,500 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation Rogers Family Trust Fund, we’ll be bringing more locally grown food to the older adults we serve while supporting Carroll County farmers.

As part of the pilot, we’ll incorporate at least one locally sourced ingredient into our menus each week for community lunches and Meals on Wheels. It’s a win for seniors, local farmers, and our local food system! 🌱
