How can your funds help us to better serve the community?

Another fundraising goal is to provide more life-saving equipment such as Auto Pulse bands. The auto pulse is a newer device and allows the EMS team to provide automated chest compressions during CPR allowing them to perform other life saving measures. The bands that go around the person during the cardiac emergency cost $200.00 dollars a piece and can only be used once. A package of three bands for the auto pulse is 600.00 dollars. Please consider saving one life and donating 200.00 dollars and buying a band to be used in a cardiac emergency.

Can you help us to support the needs of even our tiniest citizens? The Neo-Mate is a safety restraint system for our youngest patient. This allows us to safely transport a premature to 1 month old. These patients need to be held securely to insure their safety as with all our patients and allow us to provide care by giving IV’s and medication. Although we might not use this device daily when needed, it is critical. The cost of this device was $547.00 and having two ambulances the total cost would be $1094.00. Partner with us in offering this protective device for an infant!

🚨NOW HIRING🚨

Crescent Hose Company is currently accepting applications for part-time, per diem EMTs to help staff both daytime and nighttime shifts and serve the North East community. We are actively looking to ensure consistent, around-the-clock coverage. A two person crew would be scheduled per shift.

Day Shift: Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Night Shift: Monday through Friday
4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Midnight)

Up to 40 hours per week is available depending on availability and staffing needs.

Starting Pay: $21.00/hour

Why Does This Service Exist?

This paid EMS service was created to ensure the best possible protection for the North East community in response to ongoing volunteer shortages and steadily increasing call volumes.

By maintaining dedicated daytime and evening staffing, we will be able to provide faster response times, improved patient care, and stronger overall coverage for our community when it matters most.

This program is funded entirely through community support, including generous donations from supporters like you and proceeds from the Cherry Festival. Currently, no municipal tax funding is used to operate this staffing model.

Minimum Qualifications

- PA EMT Certification
- CPR/AED certification
- EVOC/EVDT certification (or ability to obtain)
- HazMat Awareness certification (or higher)
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position and pass the required background checks
