The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) is hosting the Summer session of its Spotted Lanternfly Quarterly Update on Wednesday, August 12, from 10AM - 11:15 AM, live on Zoom.

The August session will feature a presentation from Scrape for the Grape, a community-based effort in Virginia that has mobilized more than 1000 volunteers to remove and destroy spotted lanternfly egg masses that threaten that state’s vineyards and wineries. We will also get an update from MDAR’s SLF Survey Team about survey and treatment activities.

On August 6, 2026 at 10 AM we will be hosting a ribbon-cutting event celebrating the new Fire Station 1 located at 321 Main Street in North Easton.

Come join us for this very important milestone in the history of the Easton Fire Department and for the Town.

The Fire Station will be open for tours following the ribbon-cutting.

Yesterday the team completed another great event helping with the annual PAWS IN THE PARK event at NRT's SHEEP PASTURE. During this event the CERT Team provided First Aid services, Parking assistance, Canine CPR training and even assisted a stranded motorist.

We were honored to support NEMA during this year's annual Norton Founders Day Carnival! The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and it was wonderful to see so many families and community members enjoying the festivities.

It was a privilege to work alongside the NEMA team. Their coordination, organization, and management of the athletic complex, including parking and perimeter operations, were outstanding and made the event run seamlessly.

Thank you, NEMA, for allowing us to be part of such a great community event. We look forward to working together again next year!

We are monitoring the risk for dangerous heat and humidity later this week, particularly Wednesday through Saturday. Heat indices may climb above 100F and overnight temperatures may not fall below 70F, providing little recovery from daytime heat and humidity.
