Hello everyone! Just a quick reminder that our Summer Reading Program kicks off this Wednesday, June 3rd from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, We have activities for ages Preschool to 6th grade. My note was not clear and I apologize for that, so I hope that by posting and by word of mouth we can still have a good turn-out. Thanks everyone and see you on Wednesday! Also Lunch Bunch for 3rd to 6th grade meets on Thursday 11am to 11:45am at the North English Pond. Bring a sack lunch and I will have sweet treats and drinks. I will read to the kiddos and they can read some chapters at home as well. Thanks!!

Hello everyone! Cat-Eye Construction is building a new ramp that will be used by both the North English Public Library and Montross Meats. They will be working today and tomorrow. The library is still open both days, you will just need to use the “old” entrance. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Hello everyone! Just a reminder our Summer Reading Program begins next week. You can pick up the packets on Monday, June 1st. A CLARIFICATION the kids pointed out that the way I worded the note it looks like only the Preschool to 2nd graders get to do the crafts and activities on Wednesdays from 3pm to 4pm. These are also for the 3rd to 6th graders. We will have two groups going on at the same time those days, just different areas of the library. Hopefully, I can get the word out via social media and word of mouth that on Wednesdays I have things for Preschool to 6th graders, they will just be in two groups. Sorry I was not clear. SO, I hope that made sense and I hope to see many of you next Wednesday, June 3rd from 3:00pm to 4:00 pm. The 3rd to 6th grade also has the lunch bunch at the pond on Thursdays from 11am to 11:45. They bring a sack lunch and I provide sweet treat and drinks and we read together. Thank you for your patience and understanding! We will get this all figured out soon!!!!

Hello everyone! I worked on a sample of one of the crafts we will be doing with the older kids this summer. It is a hand sewing project making pin cushions or whatever the kids would like to use them for. I have plenty of material and embroidery thread, but I could use a few embroidery needles if anyone has some laying around that they no longer need. Thank you for considering!

Thank you Iowa County Master Gardeners for another wonderful program! These make and take flower pots turned out AMAZING! I look forward to their program with the kiddos during the Summer Reading Program on July 8th at 3:00pm making character gardens! Watch for sign-up sheets for this activity! Again thank you so much for all you do for the communities!!!!!

Hello everyone! I will be at the EV Elementary this morning and tomorrow morning promoting our Summer Reading Program. The theme is Plant a Seed Read. Watch for notes That I am sending with the kiddos! I have a picture below of the notes. We are doing prizes a bit differently this year. The kids earn tickets for the amount of time they read and then can “buy” some prizes with the tickets! I will have sheets to help them keep track and I can help keep track of tickets also. Reading is so very, very, very important for our kids and for adults! My hope is that this encourages them to read and encourages you to read and read with your kids and grandkids!! It is a simple way to help increase the chances of a successful future for them! Thanks everyone and feel free to contact me with questions!
