Some follow-up to the graduation ceremony. After graduation EMS providers have a to take a National Registry Test to confirm their competency for the level they trained for, which is no small task. And we are beyond excited that both have officially passed that National Registry Test and are officially licensed paramedics.
Congrats again you two! 🫡

This is great news for our area!

We’re excited to share that Flight For Life and ThedaStar have officially come together as one unified air medical transport program—bringing together two trusted teams with one shared mission: delivering safe, high-quality, life-saving care when it matters most.

By combining our experience, expertise, and resources, this integration will:

*Expand access to air medical transport across the region
*Improve coordination and aircraft availability
*Reduce delays and response times
*Strengthen service for patients, EMS, hospitals, and communities

Together, our two programs bring decades of experience—serving tens of thousands of patients across Wisconsin—and are now even better positioned to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve.

Most importantly, there is no disruption to service. Both Flight For Life and ThedaStar will continue operating under their trusted names, and our partners in health care can use the same dispatch numbers you rely on today.

This is about growth, collaboration, and ensuring more patients receive the critical care they need—when and where they need it most.

Thank you to our partners, crews, and communities for your continued trust and support.

During this year’s National EMS Week, the North Fond du Lac Fire Department would like to recognize and thank the dedicated Emergency Medical Responders, EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics who serve our community and surrounding areas every single day.

Emergency medical services are often the first point of contact during someone’s worst day. Whether responding to a serious accident, cardiac emergency, difficulty breathing, traumatic injury, or simply providing reassurance during a stressful moment, our EMS professionals continue to demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and commitment to serving others.

The North Fond du Lac Fire Department is proud to provide emergency medical services not only to the Village of North Fond du Lac, but also to the surrounding communities that rely on us for emergency response and mutual aid support. Our personnel respond at all hours of the day and night, often under difficult and unpredictable conditions, while maintaining the highest level of care for our patients.

In 2025 alone, our department responded to more than 1,000 EMS-related incidents. These calls represent far more than numbers — they represent neighbors, families, visitors, and friends who needed help during critical moments.

I would like to personally thank every member of our EMS team for their dedication, sacrifice, training, and professionalism. I would also like to thank the surrounding fire departments, law enforcement agencies, dispatchers, hospitals, and healthcare partners we work alongside daily. EMS is truly a team effort, and strong partnerships help ensure the best possible outcomes for the communities we serve.

To the residents and communities we serve — thank you for your continued support and trust in our department and our EMS professionals.

As we wrap up this week please join us in recognizing and thanking all EMS providers during EMS Week for the incredible work they do every day.

Fire Chief

Thursday is Save-A-Life Day for 2026 EMS Week, and we need your help. Bystander intervention saves countless lives each year — one day it could be you who needs help or you who provides it. If you’re unsure how to respond in an emergency, consider becoming CPR certified or taking a Stop the Bleed course. Below are resources and details on how to participate.

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing dates for upcoming CPR courses for residents at the fire station. For more information, message us or stop by the station to speak with our staff.

Wednesday marks Children’s Day during EMS Week 2026, and we were excited to welcome some special visitors to our station yesterday!

Several 2nd grade classes from Friendship Learning Center stopped by for tours, where students had the opportunity to explore our engines and ambulances while learning more about emergency medical services.

Connecting with children in our community is a great opportunity to educate, inspire, and hopefully encourage some future EMS providers along the way!

Thanks for coming to visit!
