***Operation Bad Decisions***
On August 28th, 2026 North Haven Detectives, in collaboration with Homeland Security, Connecticut State Police, the State of Connecticut Division of Scientific Services Digital Forensic Unit, the Office of State's Attorney for the Judicial District of New Haven, and several neighboring police departments, successfully concluded an undercover operation designed to identify and apprehend individuals attempting to sexually exploit minors online.
Following hours of intensive operations, three individuals were taken into custody on serious charges related to child sexual predation.
• Johnathan Parra Gonzales, 24, of West Haven, was arrested and charged with Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Risk of Injury to a Minor, Enticing a Minor, and Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault 2nd Degree. Upon Johnathan’s arrival he was in possession of a firearm which was seized at the time of arrest. He is being held on a $300,000 bond.
• Mohammadullah Majbor, 42, of New Haven, was arrested and charged with Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Risk of Injury to a Minor, Enticing a Minor, and Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault 2nd Degree. He is being held on a $300,000 bond.
• Michael Ryans, 35, of Bloomfield, was arrested and charged with Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Risk of Injury to a Minor, Enticing a Minor, and Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault 2nd Degree. He was released after posting a $300,000 bond.
