Monday night, members of Edge Hill teamed up with , , and Oreland Volunteer Fire Company for a large-scale live fire training exercise. Together, we completed four live fire evolutions, giving each company the opportunity to operate as the first due engine, second due engine, first due truck, and second due truck companies.
This training was another important step in strengthening our teamwork with the closest mutual aid companies that respond alongside us every day. By training together, we continue to improve communication, coordination, and overall operations to provide the best possible service to our community.
Collectively, more than 60 volunteer firefighters participated in the exercise. Great work by all companies involved and thank you to everyone who helped make the night a success!

Today we recognize World Autism Awareness Day 💙
At Edge Hill Fire Company, we are proud to carry Carter Kits on each of our apparatus. These kits include a variety of tools designed to help us better communicate with and care for individuals on the autism spectrum during emergencies.
Every call is different—because every person is different. And that matters.

This past week, members of Edge Hill Fire Company spent the evening sharpening their skills with hands-on training. Crews worked through hose line advancement drills, focusing on coordination, communication, and efficient movement in fireground conditions. Members also practiced vehicle fire operations, reviewing tactics for safe suppression and managing the unique hazards that come with automobile fires.
Regular training like this ensures our volunteers are always ready to respond when our community needs us most.

Last night Ladder 400 responded with a crew of six as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) on the second alarm apartment fire with reported entrapment in Horsham Township.
Upon arrival, the crew stood by as RIT and later assisted operations with secondary searches and overhaul as crews worked to bring the incident under control. Ladder 400 remained on location for approximately two hours supporting the operation.
Incidents like these highlight the strong mutual aid partnerships between our neighboring departments and the dedication of the firefighters who respond—day or night—to protect our communities.
Great work by all companies operating on scene.

This past weekend, Engine 400 officially left our quarters, marking the end of an incredible chapter in our company’s history. From its first fire to its last, Engine 400 proudly served the residents of North Hills and our surrounding communities with reliability, strength, and dedication.
This apparatus has been a constant presence on countless calls, trainings, and community events—earning its place as a trusted workhorse and a symbol of service for our members.
While it’s never easy to say goodbye, we are proud that Engine 400 will continue its mission of service in Stanton, TN, protecting another community just as it did here.
This move is part of our strategic plan as we prepare for the arrival of the new Engine 400, ensuring we remain ready to meet the needs of our community now and into the future.
Thank you, Engine 400, for the memories, the miles, and the service. You will always be a part of Edge Hill’s history.
