Norwin Area Meals on Wheels

💙 Could you be the heart behind our mission? 💙

At Norwin Area Meals on Wheels, we do so much more than deliver food. For many of our elderly and homebound neighbors, a knock on the door is the highlight of their day. It’s a warm meal, a friendly face, a brief chat, and the comfort of knowing that someone cares. We are a lifeline—but we can’t keep this lifeline going alone.

We are currently looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors starting in January 2027.

You don’t need specialized experience to make a difference—just a heart for service and a desire to help your neighbors. Your voice and your ideas can help ensure that no one in our community is left hungry or forgotten.

⏱️ The Commitment: A minimum of one day a month for meetings. One small moment of your time can translate to hundreds of warm meals and smile-filled days for someone’s grandparent, parent, or neighbor.

Will you step up and help us keep the "heart" in Meals from the Heart?

☀️ Summer isn’t over yet, and we’re not rushing it away! We’re soaking up this last month of sunshine, fun, and time together.

Join us on Sunday, August 16th for our Annual Blessing of the Backpacks during worship as we pray for students, teachers, and school staff as they prepare for the new school year.

After the service, stay for our church picnic as we celebrate the end of summer with food and fellowship. Everyone is welcome! 🎒🙏🌭

More than just a meal.

Did you know that for many homebound seniors in the Norwin area, our volunteers are the only people they see all day?

While national news headlines are highlighting the massive infrastructure challenges senior nutrition programs face right now, we are working hard to strengthen our roots right here at home.

That’s why we are incredibly grateful to share that we’ve received a $10,000 grant from Meals on Wheels America, which received a generous donation from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. This funding will directly support our daily operations, helping us fight senior hunger and isolation across Norwin communities.

To our volunteers, donors, and community partners: this win belongs to all of us. Thank you for helping our neighbors age safely and independently with dignity.

We are closed today so that our volunteers can spend time with their families.
Please enjoy your day.
