After reviewing current models and trends, the Porter County Storm Intercept Team PCSIT Unit 5 and Stormy Venz Storm Chaser will focus on Central, East Central, and North East Illinois, followed by North West Indiana, targeting the area from 3 pm to 7 pm. Although many storm chasers will converge on Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, it is prudent for Central Kansas and the Kansas-Nebraska border region to remain vigilant and prepared for severe weather. Our forecast suggests the likelihood of brief spin-ups and potentially one or two QLCS formations as the evening unfolds. To all storm chasers, we wish you a safe pursuit and good luck. For those in the projected path, please ensure you are adequately prepared for potential severe weather, have charged phones, and multiple means of receiving timely weather alerts.

Based on careful consideration and analysis of current trends, I have decided to pursue tomorrow's severe weather event and will be teaming up with a fellow storm chaser Joshua Culley. Tonight, I will deploy to position myself strategically ahead of the system. The primary focus is expected to be on strong, damaging winds and potentially large hail, although tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
