NKC Health is once again among Missouri’s best employers, earning a spot on Forbes’ 2026 Best Employers by State list for Missouri. This marks the sixth time the health system has been recognized on the prestigious list.

NKC Health also made the Forbes Best Employers for Women list for the third year in a row. This recognition is especially meaningful in healthcare, where women represent nearly 80% of the workforce.

“What makes this recognition meaningful is that it reflects the way our team supports one another every day,” said Christina Robertson, JD, MBA, vice president of System Human Resources at NKC Health. “We’re proud of what we’ve built together and even more excited about what we’ll continue to do as we help each other succeed.”

Elizabeth Bosques, RN, Mother-Baby Unit, was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient after Elizabeth noticed her newborn had labored breathing and was admitted to the NICU.

"Throughout the day, Elizabeth came in to check on me both physically and mentally, and you could tell that she was really going the extra mile to care for me and my family on this difficult day. Elizabeth made a very difficult time a little bit easier with her kindness and compassion, and I cannot tell you how much I appreciated her in that time."
