We are saddened to share the passing of Denice Gurley, a member of the North Kansas City High School Class of 1971 and former staff. Many at North Kansas City High School remember her as the warm and steady voice behind the morning announcements.

We extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, former colleagues and classmates.

Former West Englewood Elementary Eagle, Domonique Orange, gets a huge welcome to the NFL!

Domonique Orange—or "Big Citrus" as he's affectionately known by Iowa State fans—was selected No. 82 overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft Friday night.
