A day of mourning in Las Vegas, Clark County and Southern Nevada. At the start of our zoning meeting, Commission Chair Michael Naft and the Board led a moment of silence for the LVMPD Officer we lost in the line of duty.

We will always remember and never forget his service and sacrifice to our community. 💙

Join them at one of three convenient locations across the Las Vegas Valley to learn about available assistance for electric, gas, water, trash, propane, and sewer bills.

I'm excited to invite families to UNR Extension's annual Kickoff to Kindergarten event! 🎒✏️

If your child is getting ready to start kindergarten, this is a great opportunity to help them begin the school year with confidence. Join us on Saturday, August 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the East Las Vegas Library for a fun-filled day featuring free school supplies (while supplies last), family resources, and the chance to meet Carl from the PBS KIDS show "Carl the Collector!"

This event is designed for children entering kindergarten this fall. Parents or guardians must accompany their child, and please remember to bring your child's birth certificate and a photo ID.

I look forward to seeing your family there as we celebrate this exciting milestone together!

Clark County has an urgent need for foster families! 💙 Almost half of the 100 children at the emergency shelter are under the age of 6. These children need safe, loving homes ASAP!

To help, Clark County Family Services is offering an expedited foster parent training program starting July 11th to fast-track certification for committed families.

Back-to-school season is almost here, and I want to help make sure every student starts the school year feeling confident.

I'm excited to share that the Las Vegas Raiders are partnering with local barbershops and cosmetology institutes to provide FREE haircuts and beautician services for youth across the Las Vegas Valley from August 3–9.

Haircuts and beauty services are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a parent or legal guardian must complete the registration for all minors.
