Last week, I joined community partners, healthcare providers, and Clark County Family Services to celebrate the grand opening of the new FirstMed Pediatric Clinic at Child Haven.

This beautiful new facility represents a major step forward in supporting children in foster care by providing primary care, behavioral health, and dental services all in one location. By bringing these services directly onto the Child Haven campus, we are reducing barriers to care and ensuring children receive timely, coordinated, and compassionate support.

This partnership reflects Clark County’s continued commitment to investing in the health and well-being of our community’s most vulnerable children. Thank you to FirstMed and everyone who helped make this project possible!

Looking for a fun and educational summer opportunity for teens? 🍴☀️

Teen Cuisine is a FREE six-session cooking and nutrition program for students in grades 6–12 offered by the University of Nevada, Reno Extension’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP).

Participants will:
✅ Learn real-life cooking skills
✅ Discover healthy food choices
✅ Build confidence in the kitchen
✅ Participate in hands-on activities and fun recipe challenges

📍 Locations available in Paradise and North Las Vegas
🕙 Morning and afternoon sessions available
📅 Summer 2026
