APEX DAY 3: BEING STEADY!

Bear Families, our Apex Leadership journey is officially underway! 🎉 Today, our students learned about the importance of being STEADY—staying calm, focused, and in control, even when things around us may be challenging. 💪🏽🌟

These are lessons that go far beyond the classroom, and we’re excited to watch our Bears put them into action!

First superpower unlocked: Steady. 🛡️

Today our students learned their Super Hero breath: breathe in like you're smelling a flower, breathe out like you're blowing out a candle. It sounds simple, but it's how heroes stay calm and strong on the inside even when things feel out of control on the outside. The big question they're carrying with them today: "Am I using my power, or is my power using me?"

Their leadership challenge is to use their Super Hero breath three times today and then teach it to someone at home tonight. So if your student grabs you after school and asks you to smell a flower and blow out a candle, you'll know why. 💛

Our fundraiser kicks off on Monday, August 31st and this year's theme is Apex Super Heroes. For two full weeks, students will unlock real-life superpowers: steadiness, reliability, uplifting others, and more.
