MEDIA RELEASE | Long Arm of the Law

Lawrence Township Police Department has made an arrest following a series of incidents that began with a hit-skip crash and ultimately led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the apprehension of a suspect in Michigan.

ROAD CLOSURE
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026

Alabama Avenue in Lawrence Township will be closed between Lawmont Street and Orrville Street beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2026, for one day from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for testing sanitary system. There will be no through traffic. Please reroute using Wooster Street, Deerfield Avenue and Orrville Street.
